Public Health Educator – Glynn, Georgia Department of Public Health Pay Grade: H Position Overview We protect lives. Job Responsibilities Collaborates with health specialists and civic groups to ascertain community health needs, determine availability of services, and develop goals. Maintains a working partnership between public, civic, professional and voluntary agencies. Develops and conducts community surveys to ascertain health needs, develop desirable health goals, and determine availability of professional health services. Prepares and disseminates educational and informational materials to the community. Provides education opportunity for health personnel. Promotes health discussion in schools, industry and community agencies. Works with the district Public Information Officer in responding to media inquiries, providing information to the public regarding health concerns, resources and updating information on electronic media platforms. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, social, behavioral, or biological sciences or a directly related field from an accredited college or university.
