Job Title: Janitor

POSITION SUMMARY:

Janitor

Seeking Janitorial staff for Fairfax Neighborhood Association in Tamarac responsible for maintaining a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Below is an overview of expectations and not intended to be a complete list of all duties. Management has the right to assign or reassign duties as needed.

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.)
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Cooperate with assigned manager, board, and community members
• Follow all applicable health and safety regulations

Requirements and skills

• Proven working experience as a Janitor
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery as needed
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Integrity and ability to work independently
