Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an Investment Intern in our Boston office for the summer of 2026. This program offers a unique opportunity to engage in the acquisition of industrial real estate, while developing transactional, financial, and investment management skills. The Investment Intern will gain exposure to the structure of private equity real estate transactions and support the team in underwriting investment opportunities, reviewing due diligence materials, conducting market research, and assisting with other components of the investment process.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Underwriting and Analysis

  • Work with members of the Investments team to support investment activity across all Cabot's investment vehicles.
  • Assist in preparing investment underwriting in Argus and Excel.

Transaction and Market Research

  • Conduct market and submarket research using CoStar and supplementary data sources.
  • Review due diligence materials in support of potential acquisitions.

Data Management

  • Prepare and enter lease abstracts into Cabot's accounting database.
  • Update Cabot's lease and sales transaction database maintained in Excel.

Team Support

  • Participate in special projects for the Investments team as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven record of academic performance.
  • Preferred graduation date of 2027.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Works effectively and cooperatively as a member of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook; Access a plus).
  • Basic finance, accounting, or business knowledge preferred.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Hybrid work model based primarily in a professional office environment.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (e.g., seated at a desk) for extended periods.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and communicate effectively in person and via digital platforms.
