Job Summary

Northeast Traffic Control Services is an established and growing Northeast leader in traffic control safety equipment sales and rentals. As the estimator, you will be responsible for researching, coordinating, and tracking quotes and bids for the portfolio of products, rentals, sales, and service Highway specialties has to offer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Search, review, download, and print bidding information for upcoming projects., via the internet and preconstruction meetings
• Lead the estimating team with creating quotes, sending out quotes, obtaining material documentation and certifications, apply for request for approvals, understanding standard specifications along with special provisions and tracking the success of quotes.
• Work with purchasing department and vendors on getting the best price for materials and terms.
• Creatively work with team members and partners on sales/bid strategies
• Assist branches with bidding and product information.
• Assist with any other sale related tasks and other duties as assigned.

Credentials and Qualifications

• Must understand drawings/blueprints and be able to perform take-offs.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, especially written.
• Strong customer orientation; experience developing strong partnerships by understanding and anticipating customers business needs.
• Strong mathematical skills
• Must be results-driven, work independently and have a positive work attitude.
• High energy and self-motivated
• Team focused and support the company.
• Strong computer skills including but not limited to computer estimating, complete competency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Sage
