About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President - Chief Medical Officer for its Adult Academic Health Center. The successful candidate will be a key member of the regional senior executive team, responsible for the development and implementation of plans, systems, and processes that align with the organization's strategic vision. This leadership role involves strengthening areas in need of improvement, fostering relationships between medical staff and leadership, and ensuring that all policies and procedures promote quality patient care and excellent service. The Chief Medical Officer will also be an advocate for the community, champion clinical excellence, and work in partnership with other executives to lead initiatives that address healthcare disparities. Candidates for this position must have a Medical Degree, be board certified, and preferably have an active practice. A minimum of 10 years of experience as a practicing physician, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a background in quality and patient safety, strategic planning, and community relations, as well as experience in leading quality improvement initiatives. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential, as is the ability to build relationships and lead through influence. The role demands a visionary leader with a deep understanding of operational workflows, financial principles, and business acumen, who can drive organizational effectiveness and is committed to the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
