This position will be responsible for:

 

  • Underwriting basics – Mentor will teach what an underwriter does by topic
  • Basic business unit financial reporting
  • Financial reports for upcoming meetings through UW Desktop and Power BI
  • Pipeline management
  • Preparation and participation in presentations and stewardship meetings
  • Loss summary review and inputs
  • Attending a broker meeting with Mentor

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program in the fall semester following the internship 
  • Must be a rising junior or rising senior at the time of the internship 
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 (current GPA reported by your school)
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills in a customer-focused environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Excel and PowerPoint experience
  • Self-motivated, punctual, professional and able to work independently

 

 

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed hourly rate for this position is  $21.00 - $23.00.
