This Shop Is Looking For a Senior Structural Steel Estimator With Deep Experience In Steel Fabrication And Erection - And They Offer a Highly Competitive Comp Plan

Key Responsibilities - Analyze structural steel drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
- Develop take-offs for fabrication and erection of steel components
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure constructability and cost efficiency
- Prepare bid proposals and participate in pre-bid meetings
- Track historical cost data and maintain estimating database
Required Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in structural steel estimating (fabrication and erection)
- Strong knowledge of AISC standards and steel construction practices
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Tekla EPM, Bluebeam, FabTrol, or similar)
- Familiarity with welding procedures, shop drawings, and field erection logistics
- Excellent math, communication, and organizational skills
