LHH Recruitment is looking to fill a Staff Accountant job opportunity for this East Bay company located in Oakland, California. This position is hybrid and wil be in-office 3 days a week. The right candidate should have 3 years of accounting experience and be comfortable with the General Ledger. The position will report to the Finance Manager and be a part of small team and fast paced organization. The role will be responsible for working heavily in the General Ledger on the month-end close, account reconciliations, analysis, and assisting with other duties and projects as assigned

Responsibilities include:

- Responsible for working in the General Ledger

- Assist with the annual close process (month, quarter & year-end)

- Various account and bank reconciliations as well as analysis

- Prepare and post journal entries

- Prepare and analyze Budget versus Actual and Financial Statements

- Assist with the financial reporting

- Comfortable bring cross-trained (AP, AR, Payroll)

- Assist on projects as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required

- Solid knowledge of accounting and knowing your general accounting debits and credits (GAAP)

- Software experience with a medium to large ERP (NetSuite preferred)

- Team player, collaborative, multi-task oriented

- Self-motivated, proactive, and meets deadlines

- Attention to detail, analytical, and organized

- Solid communications (written & verbal)

- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel - Intermediate, Word & Outlook) and Google Workspace

Experience: 3 years of Accounting experience (Staff Accountant, General Ledger Accountant, Senior Accountant)

Compensation: $35 to $40
