*** About the Role ***

Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Support, operate, and improve a large-scale API Gateway platform with a focus on reliability and availability.
• Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting API and platform services.
• Build and enhance automation and tooling using Python to reduce operational toil.
• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines for platform and infrastructure deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
• Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring rapid response and system stability.
• Collaborate with platform, security, and application teams to enforce SRE best practices.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (infrastructure-focused).
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with API Gateway platforms.
• Strong SRE / production support mindset, including monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
• Comfortable participating in on-call support rotations.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Kong API Gateway (migration planned).
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TLS/certificate management.
• Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).

Expectations:

• Demonstrates strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
• Committed to platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Proactively identifies and resolves risks before they impact production.
• Works effectively in fast-paced, high-availability environments.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $100,000 $110,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
