Title: Sr Agile CoachLocation: Linthicum, MD (hybrid)Working Hours: ESTType: Contract, 12+ months (with extensions)We are seeking a Senior Agile Coach to guide multiple teams through an Agile transformation for a Maryland state agency client. This role will involve coaching, mentoring, and leading teams in adopting SAFe, enhancing Agile software development practices, and fostering continuous improvement. The Senior Agile Coach will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful Agile execution and support organizational growth.Key Responsibilities:Provide coaching to teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and leaders on Agile and Scrum methods.Lead Agile ceremonies and support the removal of obstacles that hinder sprint progress.Guide teams in reviewing, adapting, delivering, and advancing their practices.Promote adoption of Agile frameworks and techniques, closing the gap between practice and theory.Define and implement standards and requirements for Agile processes.Advise teams on clarifying roles and responsibilities to maximize effectiveness.Develop and present workshops and training materials to expand Agile capability.Assess and address risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.Encourage continuous improvement to raise productivity levels.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institutionMinimum 10 years of relevant experience in Agile coaching and transformation.Certified SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) highly preferred.Deep expertise in SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.Proven leadership and team-building skills to create a collaborative, high-performing environment.Ability to adapt quickly and manage change effectively across diverse environments using change management practices.Proficiency with Agile tools like VersionOne and Jira.Strong coaching and mentoring ability to guide individuals and teams in Agile principles and practices while supporting their professional growth.Proven project management skills in planning, organizing, and coordinating resources to successfully achieve project goals and objectives.Experience with Agile techniques such as user stories, definition of done, continuous integration, ATDD, TDD, continuous testing, pairing, automated testing, Agile games.Strong leadership and communication skills.Security & Background Check Requirements:Employment is contingent upon passing a CJIS State and Federal criminal background check, including fingerprinting, and verification via E-Verify.Important Note Regarding Third Parties and Staffing Agencies:BH Zion LLC will not consider applications from third-party vendors or staffing agencies for this role.
