Position Overview The Property Accountant will support the accounting function by managing AR and GL processes, performing reconciliations, and providing financial insights for a portfolio of multifamily properties. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager. Key Responsibilities Verify accuracy of lease and accounting data entered into Yardi. Review delinquency reports and collaborate with managers to maximize collections. Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Post month-end close journal entries. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. Provide insights on property performance during monthly reviews. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. 1–2 years of corporate accounting experience. Property management or residential real estate accounting experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Yardi or similar property management software preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
