A-Line Staffing is now hiring a  Medical Device Assembler  in  Sparks, MD.  The Medical Device Assembler would be working for a fortune 500 Medical Manufacturing company and has career growth potential.

Pay Rate:  $21.18/hr

Schedule:  7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 100% On-site in Sparks Glencoe MD 21152

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs a wide variety of assigned tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as electromechanical modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, and fitting on assembly units. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Conducts quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. Disassembles, modifies, reworks, reassembles, and tests experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex issues associated with instrument assembly operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and packaging of medical devices
• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment
• Conduct quality inspections per documented specifications
• Work within clearly defined SOPs and adhere to all quality and safety guidelines
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
• Perform basic math and accurately interpret written specifications in English
• Use basic measurement tools such as microscopes
• Rotate into various tasks and responsibilities as needed
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance and work flexible or extended hours as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• High school degree or GED required with 4 years manufacturing experience or an AA technical degree with 1 year experience.
• Experience in a regulated environment required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English specifications
• Basic math skills and ability to use measurement tools
• Effective communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Willingness to rotate into different tasks and adapt to production needs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
• Ability to lift or move  at least 35 pounds
• Must meet physical demands necessary to perform essential job functions
