Job Description
Overview Perform installation, repair and maintenance of locks, door closures, panic hardware systems and electronic access and locking systems; reset combinations and adjust locks, including coding, key cutting and duplication. Assist with record input, maintenance as well as inventory control.
Responsibilities •Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.
•Installs, repairs, changes and opens cylinders for electronic access locks and key locks; cuts and issues keys; inspects and lubricates and adjusts locks and locking devices.
•Installs and repairs door closures, panic bars, door locks and related locking hardware including electronic access control locks.
•Opens locks by use of lock picking tools
•Ability to fix any lock within the system.
•Reads procedures, manuals, and guidelines. Process work orders and key requests.
•Repairs electric door hardware.
•Be able to maintain a schedule on minor projects.
•Setup cores and cylinders for any type of locksets.
•Ability to install low-voltage electric door strikes including transformer installation and wiring.
•Be able to assist in determining methods to be used, including but not limited to key cutting and duplication.
•Ability to use computer programs for keying and specification writing.
•Works on their own with a minimum of supervision
•Determine the proper methods and planning sequences of operations on projects.
•Assist in the installation of special locking systems, as well as electronic locking systems.
•Determine which keys/master keys are in the lock during setup.
•Repair, maintain and change safe and vault combinations.
•Provide technical guidance and direction to lower level personnel.
•Advanced knowledge of and ability to apply all applicable Federal, State and local safety and security regulations including NFPA 101, NFPA 80, International building codes, Fire prevention codes and ADA regulations.
•Knowledge of current inventory control system.
•Ability to prepare departmental reports.
Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Work requires an educational background normally equivalent to a high school education and the completion of a certified locksmith course and three to five years of experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - Ca. Class C Drivers license required - Must be vehicle insurable through JRCR's Agent
Pay range: $24.00 - $31.20 per hour
*Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
This is not a smoke free workplace. Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment
