Injection Molding Machine Operator

Join our team as an Injection Molding Machine Operator on a contract basis until the end of the year. You will be responsible for setting up and installing molds into injection molding machines, adjusting machine settings, performing inspections, and ensuring quality standards are met. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining efficient production operations.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and install molds into injection molding machines according to production schedules.
• Adjust machine settings to optimize cycle times, part quality, and material usage.
• Perform first-piece inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot issues during production.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of molds and equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve process issues.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Essential Skills:

• Experience with injection molding machines.
• Setup experience on injection molding machines.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot injection molding equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in mold operation.
• Ability to follow established safety procedures.

Work Environment:

You will work in a manufacturing plant with specific safety protocols, including the requirement to wear Personal Protective Equipment. The work environment may have a distinct smell, similar to 'sharpies', so comfort with this condition is necessary. The role is scheduled for the first shift from Monday to Thursday, 5 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential mandatory overtime on Fridays and Saturdays, depending on business needs. Proper attire, such as no jewelry or loose clothing, is required in the manufacturing plant.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Streamwood, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
