Job Description

We are partnering with our client who is seeking an Internal Auditor. You will conduct audits of corporate and property functions, perform Sarbanes-Oxley 404 audits, and support external audits. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $120,000 to $140,000 per year.

• Identify potential ESG risks and opportunities within operations and develop strategies for mitigation and maximization.
  
  
• Ensure ESG policies and procedures are documented and recommend improvements.
  
  
• Assess process and controls documentation to identify gaps for various disclosures.
  
  
• Audit disclosure metrics for relevancy, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency.
  
  
• Maintain an inventory of disclosure requirements.
  
  
• Cross-train internal audit team members on ESG audits.
  
  
• Collaborate with corporate and operational personnel to develop recommendations for internal control and process improvements.
  
  

• Strong understanding of ESG principles, frameworks, and reporting standards.
  
  
• Excellent analytical, written/verbal communication, and relationship-building skills.
  
  
• Ability to work independently, adapt to change quickly, multitask in a deadline-oriented environment, and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  
  
• Initiative to address problems and make continuous process improvements.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  
  
• 5+ years of audit experience, with at least one year in ESG.
  
  
• 3+ years of SOX experience required.
