Job Title: Equipment Operator (Mazak Laser Machine)
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $23.00 – $25.00/hour (based on experience)
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Laser Machine Operator to run a Mazak laser cutting machine . This role involves operating machinery, completing essential production documentation, and supporting various shop operations. It is a temp-to-hire position with the potential for permanent employment based on performance.
ResponsibilitiesOperate Mazak laser cutting machine in accordance with safety and production standards
Accurately complete all job orders, logs, and paperwork
Work closely with trainers and management during onboarding and training
Participate in cross-training across other machines and shop tasks
Maintain a safe and organized work area
Meet documented performance goals and engage in regular feedback with supervisors
Minimum Requirements:
Reliable attendance and commitment to full-time hours (40 hours/week)
Willingness to learn and train to operate the machine independently within 8 weeks
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for an 8-hour shift
Basic experience with laser machines is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Mazak laser machines
Strong understanding of production processes and documentation
Flexible and adaptable to shifting shop needs
Self-motivated with a proactive work ethic
Withholding background or legal history (Note: Felon-friendly, except for theft-related offenses)
Unwillingness to learn or cooperate with the team
Industrial back shop with heavy equipment and physical activity
Team-focused, hands-on culture – everyone pitches in
