Our client is a rapidly scaling consumer goods and eCommerce company with a growing retail presence. As the business expands, they are seeking a Director of HR to design, lead, and elevate their people strategy. This individual will serve as a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CFO, and will be responsible for building the HR function into a strategic driver of organizational success.

The ideal candidate has deep experience across talent acquisition, compliance, employee relations, and organizational design, while also being able to think strategically about culture, retention, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Build and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals and rapid growth objectives.
• Talent Acquisition & Retention: Develop and manage recruiting processes across corporate, retail, and eCommerce teams while creating programs to boost retention and engagement.
• Compliance & Policy: Ensure HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws.
• HR Operations: Oversee HR systems, payroll coordination, and process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and scalability.
• Reporting & Workforce Planning: Partner with leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and data-driven decision making.
• Compensation & Benefits: Manage competitive salary structures, incentive programs, and benefit offerings.
• Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, investigate issues, and maintain a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
• Learning & Development: Implement training, leadership development, and career progression programs.
• Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage the HR department budget to support growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 4 years in a senior HR or executive role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws, HR compliance, and best practices.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, and workforce management tools (Paycom experience a plus).
• Proven success managing HR functions for distributed or remote teams nationwide.
• Background in consumer goods, eCommerce, or retail environments highly preferred.
