CHB Entry Writer - Mainfreight Air & Ocean Charlotte, NC

Are you detail-oriented, curious, and eager to grow within a global logistics company? Mainfreight Air & Ocean in Charlotte is looking for a motivated individual to join our Brokerage Team as a CHB Entry Writer. No prior industry experience? That’s okay, we’re ready to train the right person who’s ready to learn.

This role plays a key part in ensuring that our import shipments meet U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agency requirements. You’ll work closely with customers, government agencies, and our internal teams to process Customs entries accurately and efficiently. What You’ll Do:

(Responsibilities include, but are not limited to)

• Review, transmit, and maintain Customs entry documentation
• Handle processes related to In-bonds, Importer Security Filings (ISF), and bonded warehouses
• Determine the correct valuation for duty calculation and compliance
• Monitor the status of Customs and PGA (Partner Government Agencies) releases
• Process duty invoices and payments in a timely and compliant manner
• Prepare and transmit necessary documentation for agencies such as the FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.

• An interest in international trade, compliance, and logistics
• Prior industry experience is a plus, but not required — we’ll provide training and mentorship
