We are seeking a Cost Accountant Intern to join our Cleveland, OH team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain practical experience in cost accounting and financial analysis within a global manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do:
As a Cost Accountant Intern, you will work closely with the Plant Controller and Finance team to support cost tracking, financial reporting, and process improvements.
✅ Assist with the preparation and analysis of production costs and variances
✅ Support monthly and quarterly financial close activities
✅ Help track material, labor, and overhead costs to ensure accurate reporting
✅ Participate in inventory audits and reconciliation processes
✅ Work with operations to understand cost drivers and identify efficiency opportunities
✅ Assist in developing cost standards and analyzing deviations
✅ Prepare and maintain cost accounting documentation and reports
✅ Perform other tasks as assigned by the Controller or Finance Manager
What We’re Looking For:
Recent graduate (or final-year student) in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward learning
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications (Power BI is a Plus)
Familiarity with ERP systems or previous internship experience in manufacturing is a plus
