This is a contract role beginning mid September and expected to run into 2027.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain site safety plan
- Conduct safety inductions for all contractor and subcontracted staff
- Execute daily and weekly safety inspections, reports, and corrects findings
- Ensure that subcontractors have all required permits to work
- Organize weekly safety discussion for contractor site team
- Collect worked hours for contractor and subcontractor teams and generate monthly reports
- Investigate and report any incidents
- Generate Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Work Method Statements (WMS)
Requirements
- Strong Cal/OSHA knowledge and experience required
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety + 3 years of construction safety management experience / OR board-certified safety credential + 5 years of construction safety management experience / OR Current OSHA 500 Certification + 6 years of construction safety management experience
- OSHA 10 + OSHA 30 certified
- Knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
- Able to identify known potential exposure and lead corrective actions
- Able to produce reports and develop relevant policies
- Comfortable with the onsite work requirements and schedule
