Construction Litigation Attorney
A Delaware-based litigation firm with a growing presence in complex commercial matters is seeking a Construction Litigation Attorney to join its team in Wilmington. The firm represents general contractors, subcontractors, developers, design professionals, and insurers in a wide range of disputes, including contract claims, construction defects, project delays, and professional liability matters. This position offers hands-on responsibility, direct client engagement, and the opportunity to litigate in both state and federal courts. -Must have portable book of business-
Offer:
$150,000 - $200,000 annual base salary depending on experience

Qualifications:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active license to practice in Delaware (or ability to waive in)
3+ years of experience in construction litigation or related commercial litigation
Familiarity with construction contracts, including AIA forms, and issues such as defects, delays, and insurance coverage
Strong research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom skills
Ability to manage discovery, prepare pleadings, and interact directly with clients and experts
Background working with contractors, insurers, or engineering professionals is a plus
Responsibilities:
Handle construction-related disputes involving breach of contract, defects, delays, performance issues, and negligence
Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlement agreements
Work directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel throughout the litigation process
Appear in Delaware state and federal courts for hearings, conferences, depositions, and trial
Manage multiple matters simultaneously with a high level of independence and professionalism
Contribute to firm growth through client service, team collaboration, and occasional business development
