Overview

Felician University is offering a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced, creative and enthusiastic marketing professional to serve as the Communications Manager. The Communications Manager supports the Director of Marketing & Communications in all aspects of internal and external university communications. S/he collaborates in building and maintaining the brand image of the university and supporting all efforts of the marketing & communications team in building the reputation and positive sentiment surrounding the university. This role will also oversee a Communications Coordinator and student workers/volunteers/interns secured for specific events or short-term project engagements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in marketing communications, PR, and/or copywriting; proven experience with public relations and list management software including Meltwater, PR Newswire, Business Wire, Constant Contact, Mail Chimp; comprehensive understanding of and ability to manage and prepare for crisis communications; experience working with Canva, InDesign, Sprout Social, Adobe suite; working knowledge of Constant Contact, Sprout, Meltwater, Social Media Platforms, Adobe, Canva, and Microsoft Office Suite; strong organizational, communication, and project management skills; demonstrated presentation skills; proven ability to train, motivate, direct and supervise a team of varying experience levels; ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders; ability and willingness to support and promote the Felician Franciscan core values and mission of the University.

Required Education: Bachelors degree in related field required
