JOB SUMMARY : The Texas Rangers are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Assistant to provide critical support to the Accounting and Finance team. Responsibilities include assisting with payment processing, vendor communication, system administration, and general office support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, accuracy, and a willingness to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Process weekly check/Virtual CC/ACH runs and deposit checks received.
  
• Call and email vendors to make credit card payments.
  
• Maintain vendor payment preferences and profiles in Sage 500.
  
• Reconcile invoices and Accounts Payable credit card transactions using Concur Expense to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  
• System Administration for SAP Concur (Expense, Invoice, Travel).
  
• Process Purchase Requests/Orders.
  
• Coordinate franchise tax documentation & payments.
  
• Routine clerical and accounting tasks including organizing and distributing mail, filing, and ordering office supplies.
  
• Assist CFO and SVP, Finance.
  
• All other duties as assigned.
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• One to two years Accounts Payable experience.
  
• Sage 500 or other financial software experience preferred.
  
• SAP Concur system administration experience (Expense, Invoice, Travel) preferred.
  
• Proficient in data-entry processing.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail necessary.
